Indications

– Supplementation of vitamins in the following conditions: fatigue, asthenia, stress, convalescence, diet, malnutrition, the elderly, children and adolescents, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
– Prevention of the B vitamin group deficiency diseases.

(Lactose, Cassava starch, Gelatin, Sodium starch glycolate, Magnesium stearate, Microcrystalline cellulose, Sucrose, Talc, Acacia, Methyl hydroxybenzoate, Propyl hydroxybenzoate, Shellac, Ethanol 96%, Castor oil, Povidone, Activated charcoal, Beeswax, Paraffin).

Actions

B1, B2, PP, B5, B6, B12 are essential vitamins that are necessary for the processes of the body to function properly, they play essential role in cell metabolism by assisting in the correction and prevention of deficient cellular metabolism in cases of increased demand in those vitamins or in dietary deficiency of the B vitamin group.

Contra-Indications

– Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the medicine.
– Malignant tumors: due to the ability of Vitamin B12 to promote the growth of hyperplasia.
– Severe liver disease, renal disease.
– Active peptic ulcer, arterial hemorrhage, severe hypotension.

Side effect

– Yellowing of urine (due to Vitamin B2) may be observed.
– Skin reactions (due to Vitamin B12) such as urticaria, pruritus (rare).
– Small oral doses of Vitamin PP are usually nontoxic. Large dose may cause some side– effects: nausea, flushing of the face and neck, pruritus, sensation of burning, stinging or tingling of the skin. These unwanted effects disappear after medicine discontinuation.
Inform your doctor about side– effects when using this medicine.

Precaution

– Prolonged use of doses higher than recommended dose should not be taken.
– Avoid Levodopa combination except when additional dopa– decarboxylase is coadministered.
– Coadministration of Vitamin PP with hepatotoxic drugs may result in increased hepatotoxicity.
PREGNANCY & LACTATION:
It may be used at daily requirement intake during pregnancy and lactation.

Interaction

– Isoniazid, Penicillamine and oral contraceptives may alter either the metabolism or bioavailability of Vitamin B6.
– Vitamin B6 may decrease Levodopa effects in treatment of Parkinson disease, this will not happen with the concomitant use of carbidopa or benserazide with Levodopa.
– Alcohol prevent Riboflavin absorption from the intestine.
– Coadministration of Probenecid and Riboflavin result in decreased absorption of Riboflavin from GI tract.
– Coadministration of Nicotinamide with:
+ a– adrenergic blockers for hypertension may lead to overt hypotension.
+ HMG– CoA inhibitors may increase the risk of rhabdomyolysis.
+ Do not coadminister Nicotinamide with Carbamazepine because of potential increase of Carbamazepine concentration in the blood and its toxicity.
OVERDOSAGE & MANAGEMENT:
Should overdosage occur, turn to the nearest healthcare facility for medical attention of the healthcare professionals.

Shelf life

36 months from the manufacturing date.

Storage

Store in a dry place (RH ≤ 70%), not exceeding 30oC. Protect from light.

Dosage

– Adults: 1 – 2 tablets daily.
– Children: 1 tablet daily.
