Indications
– Prophylaxis and treatment of deficiency in vitamin B– complex due to nutrition or other reasons in association with other vitamins.
– Used in disorders due to chronic alcoholism.
– Indicated at high dosages in rheumatalgia, neurologic pain diseases.

Actions
– Vitamin B1, B6, B12 are B– complex vitamins which are necessary for the conversion of carbohydrate, protein and fat into tissue and energy.
– The water– soluble vitamins (B– complex) are not significantly stored by the body. They must be replenished regularly through diet or other means to maintain essential tissue levels. Thus these vitamins are rapidly depleted in conditions interfering with their intake or absorption.
Contra-Indications
– Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the drug.
– Malignant tumors: due to the ability of vitamin B12 to promote the growth of hyperplasia.
Side effect
– GI disturbances, rarely allergic reactions.
– High doses of vitamin B6 (> 2g daily) and prolonged use may result in peripheral neuropathies.
Inform your doctor about side– effects when using this medicine.
Precaution
– Avoid concomitant use of this medication with alcoholic beverage.
– Pediatric use is strictly monitored by adults.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Caution should be exercised when it is given to pregnant women or nursing mothers.
Interaction
– Isoniazid, Penicillamine and oral contraceptives may alter either the metabolism or bioavailability of Vitamin B6.
– Vitamin B6 may decrease Levodopa action except the latter is combined with dopadecarboxylase inhibitors.
– Absorption of vitamin B12 from the gastro– intestinal tract may be reduced by Aminoglycosides, Chloramphenicol, Cimetidine.
OVERDOSAGE:
Should overdosage occur, turn to the nearest healthcare facility for medical attention of the healthcare professionals.

24 months from the manufacturing date.
Storage
Store in a dry place (RH ≤ 70%), not exceeding 30oC. Protect from light.
Dosage
– Adults: + Treatment of deficiency in vitamin B– complex, disorders due to chronic alcoholism: 2 – 4 tablets daily.
+ Rheumatic pain: 4 tablets daily.
– Children: as prescribed by physicians.
– Notice: + The medicine is taken after meals.
+ The tablet should be swallowed whole and should not be crushed or chewed.
+ The medication should not be administered continuously for longer than 3 weeks.
