Indications
Symptomatic relief of cough due to:
– Common cold, flu, whooping cough, measles, bronchial and throat irritation or accidental irritant inhalation.
– Inflammations of respiratory tract: bronchitis, pneumonia, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheobronchitis.

Actions
– BE HO MEKOPHAR is a non– narcotic antitussive, expectorant medication.
– BE HO MEKOPHAR markedly increases respiratory tract fluid, thus effectively liquefying sticky phlegm and other bronchial secretions and facilitating their expectoration.
– BE HO MEKOPHAR is also containing an antihistamine that is very effective in treatment of allergy triggered cough.
Contra-Indications
– Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of drug.
– Patients that are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), or within 2 weeks after stopping MAOI drugs.
– Neonates, premature infants.
– Nursing mothers.
Side effect
– Sedative effects such as somnolence may occur but will be subsided after a few days.
– Mild gastrointestinal and CNS disturbances.
Inform your doctor about side– effects when using this medicine.
Precaution
– Pregnancy, urinary tract obstruction, diabetes mellitus, respiratory suppression, profuse expectoration, chronic cough as in asthma or emphysema.
– Patients undergoing treatment with this drug should be advised not to drive or operate machinery due to sedative effect of the drug.
– Phenylketonurics should not use the drug because of Aspartame containing in it.
Interaction
Increase sedative action of other CNS depressants, alcohol, antimuscarinics, tricyclic antidepressants.
OVERDOSAGE:
Should overdosage occur, turn to the nearest healthcare facility for medical attention of the healthcare professionals.

36 months from the manufacturing date.
Storage
Store in a dry place (RH ≤ 70%), not exceeding 30oC. Protect from light.
Dosage
– Recommended dosage: 3 – 4 times daily, take by mouth as follows:
Children: < 2 years: 1/4 – 1/2 sachet.
2 – < 6 years: 1 sachet.
6 – 12 years: 2 sachets.
> 12 years: 3 sachets.
– Or as directed by the physician.
